I just heard DALI Concept 6 today. I know they're cheap, I'm going to start in the low department with speakers, at least for a couple of months. The DALI Concept 6 look great but they lack depth (i.e. you can clearly hear that on some kinds of sounds that they are comming from a speaker, some rock drums sounded flat and unnatural.) I read some criticism of the treble but that didn't appear particularly flawed to me in the short test I did.
I've since been recommended a pair of Black Diamond v.2 [1] (from Audio Pro). It certainly seems to have reviews on its side. Now to find a retailer near me. (For the Danes here: Sønderborg / Als
