yeah, i also tried synthedit ages back but it felt kinda uninspiring and also i didn't know too much about synth/vsti stuff back then. i find synthmaker to be really intuitive and flexible and you can get down to the core if you need, writing even assembly code , so it's quite powerfull IMO. the only problem is that it's a bit a CPU hog... :\
btw. here's a quick remix i did to test, which heavily utilizes avalon, i uploaded it to rko so it should be available there soon too.
