Thanks, LMan. Good addition to the debate there.

I must say that the argumentation that these guys are demonstrating gives thought for developing a whole new branch within modern logic. Some of the things that they write is simply misunderstandings. They've set their attention on this page and want it deleted for some reason. Inner peace sought by idiosyncracists, I don't know...

Okay as I understand it, the article itself (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Press_Play_on_Tape) needs to be backed up with references to web pages and magazine articles backing up the information given in the article. So Theo and others: please add references to the releases at C64 audio for the albums etc. I've started by adding the Hitman easter egg, but I'm out of time to work further on it. Does anybody have a Retro Gamer or other magazine mentioning PPOT?

And please don't start wars with the editors, this will rather hurt than help.

to me, a mention in a CNN article makes PPOT quite notable : http://edition.cnn.com/2007/TECH/ptech/ ... index.html

I don't have an account on Wikipedia either, so I will also just post my suggestions here.

First off, in order to match the references the box on the left that contains the label of PPOT, should read C64audio.com

"Andy" seems to think that PPOT is the only C64 band out there. So why not add a sentence that states that PPOT plays C64 remixes as well as......... and then mention the other C64 bands that all ready have a Wikipedia page. This could backfire if "Andy" thinks these aren't notable either.

Then if it is references that is needed to keep the article on Wikipedia lets drown him in them

Reviews of the Roskilde concert:
http://www.roskilde-festival.dk/fileadm ... 8-0630.pdf
http://www.jv.dk/artikel/447162:Musik-- ... -noerderne

Review of one of the sold out concerts on the rock. Also adds for a good reason to mention that
http://www.metalzone.dk/index.php?side=expandkan&id=71

Mention the anniversary concert in September and link to this:
http://gaffa.dk/live/event/35910

The bands history could be referenced to this article from computerworld. Could also be the basis for talking about fan base, and many hits on youtube.
http://www.computerworld.dk/art/41324?c ... &o=1&pos=2

Mention your performance at “Forskernatten 2009”
l]http://www.aok.dk/natteliv/forskernatten-2009[/url]

Mention the performance at Harddisken on DR P1 and link it to
http://da.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harddisken
and use this as reference
http://www.dr.dk/P1/harddisken/Udsendel ... 000048.htm

Mention the performance at “Go gen Danmark” on nonal Danish television
http://go-dyn.tv2.dk/article.php/id-290 ... -2010.html
Just a petty that video isn’t on Yobe so it could be referenced as well

What's so funnyabout that discussion : every spark of sarcasm or little wink of "they-might-be-wrong" is countered with being understood as rude while they BARK about how UNIMPORTANT PPOT, remix64, c64audio.com, remix.kwed.org are...
Everybody helping in that matter is secretly a member of the band, a fan boy or whatever...

Wikipedia is full of uninteresting, uninspiring, dull and plain dumb articles but nooooooo... let's battle the funny danish guys because retro music is the most irrelevant piece of info on this dirtball.

Indirect, I read between the lines the threat against all pro-PPOT-texts of the ban-hammer because being simply annoying.

Well, here's another "unimportant" site, which links to important things:

http://www.binaryzone.org/bitlive3/videos.php

The Clerkenwell Literary Festival (photos there) wasn't made up either: it was an annual cultural event at the time.

It's easy for them to just sit there and dismiss everything as unimportant.

And doesn't the BIT Live DVD count? That was an official commercial release, and the audio CD for that is on Amazon, iTunes and Play.com (and CD Baby) featuring PPOT playing live @ St. Luke's, which again is a recognised cultural place, being the rehearsal space for the London Symphony Orchestra.

How many "unimportant" sightings add up to one "important" one? how are they able to dismiss that huge rock festival playing to x,000 fans? How is playing to thousands of people not significant?

[edit]

I mean, they're on Amazon, FFS.
[/edit]

Oh yeah, and C64Audio.com/High Technology Publishing not only has a DVD1 licence from MCPS, which is the same licence the major labels have, it's a member of PPL (the same phonographic corporation the big labels are members of), and has a sub-publishing licence with EMI for at least two tracks. Plus it's sold over 15,000 CDs/DVDs in its lifetime, been an expert witness in the Timbaland case, appearing in court in Finland, is conducting legal action against Zombie Nation, and has been covered by Edge, Retro Gamer, The Guardian, the BBC (for BIT Live 1, actually), Face magazine, and numerous others. That's pretty good for a non-relevant organisation, I'd say. And certainly makes us a mid-level success indie label.

But they're on Amazon, thanks to the BIT Live Audio CD. Or is Amazon irrelevant now?

[edit: Wrong capitalisation though. Sorry guys, there's no way to QA these things when aggregators get involved]

Just added a truck load of refs. Thanks for the help, guys!

I guess the three stooges will ignore them as they've done so far.
