Saw my consultant this week and things are improving, see the surgeon next month. But there will be more surgery next year.

Quick update as I made a rare visit here...

I am healing slowly, just waiting for things to have improved enough for the next operation to take place. While I am hoping it will happen this year, it's not certain.

Hey. Sadly I ended up back in hospital in May, for nine days due to complications.

The good news is I'm recovering at home, things are healing and I see my consultant in July.

The aim is to have the next operation later this year, meaning I'm fit and healthy by my 40th birthday next year.

At present I'm unlikely to be doing any events this year, which is a real shame.

Just look at this thread - it took so much time already.

So, just to update the story. Apologies for not visiting in over a year.

In December last year I was scheduled to have a minor procedure. Unfortunately in theatre they discovered more complications and the procedure did not go ahead. After more tests that day and in April this year, the surgeon said there was only one course of action.

That means in just over a week I will travel down to a hospital in London for a major, lengthy operation (laparascopic surgery by a world-leading specialist)
The hope is that this will make life a lot easier for me and reduce the symptoms I have been suffering.

So, I hope to be back and healthy on the remix scene during next year (fingers crossed).
