Hm, maybe, but if you are get used to a stable version of Win (-> Windows 2000), I think it is very hard to live with only one mouse-button on a Mac. Every time when I read news about the Mac, I search for the headline "Mac OS XXV now finally supports TWO mouse-buttons to catch up with Windows and it´s easy concept of having the properties of an item at right-mouse-click!" ;-)

Muahhahaaaaaaaa! This has been "Evil Laughter" ®

in the time i was working with the mac, i always use mouse with 3 buttons
and a scroll wheel.... you can use additional buttons through the software
drivers included....and it works fine, under OS 9.2 !

Right, if I buy Windows 2000 Data Center Server I can make use of 32 GB RAM, but this is not the standard Windows2000. See?

Am I the only person who still uses an Amiga via Midi for Sequencing?
(Octamed proffessional)

Any way 2klang I have a Korg poly 800 mark 1,what is the difference with these machines?

I also have.......

Cheeta Ms6 Analogue Module
Roland MVS1 Vintage Synth Module
Novation Basstation Analogue Mono Bass Synth
Roland SH09 Analogue Mono Synth with Kenton CV to MIDI converter
Roland Juno 60 with Kenton DCB to MIDI converter
Korg Poly 800 Mark 1
Boss DR550 Drumachine
Zoom 9020 Effects
Zoom Rack Mount Effects
Boss Turbo 2 Distortion Pedal (for a laugh, makes Novation Basstation sound like a RolandTB303 Bassline)
All fed(not all at once) through a Mackie 1202 mixer(quiet as a lamb)...

and recorded to CD on a Philips external CD writer.

I used octamed on amiga for midi sequencing 'till late 2000, then i switched to cubase.

When you used octamed you think it's the best way to make music (i used to think so), but i had to change my mind :)

cheers.

With the type of music I create,Octamed Pro still does what I WANT it to do.:) And it works fine!!

It is so easy to get ideas running on Octamed thats why I still love it!!

A few years ago I used to record in a studio in Edinburugh,we used to transfer the Midi from Octamed Amiga to Cubase on St with no problems, but now even the studio has upgraded!!!!

So yes I know I have to upgrade now DHS :)

Its just the logistics of getting my "machines" to work on a pc now that scares me to death!!!!!!!!

:)

I know this is seriously off-topic, but is there any of you C64 music remixers that also remix Amiga stuff? How 'bout you 2klang? And if, is it then available at some public web page? :)
