If it wasn't for the studio, with its roomfuls of gear and instruments, 64s, Amigas, STs and books, 78s, LPs, CDs, videos and DVDs I wouldn't mind starting some kind of collection.

No, I wouldn't mind at all.

A very cheap Archie at £1.50 the current bid. Just think how much it would have cost new.

More than good enough for Amiga-beating photo graphics and video demos. Pity it was just so unsupported as it was a miracle machine, especially in 1987.

As nice a CBM product as others. I'm certainly keeping an eye on it if it's that cheap.

Hey, i also have that thing. You have to screw that thing to the floor because it's not heavy enough for stomping around on it.
And it has no potentiometers, just three micro switches (at least my version, dunno if there are others).
Pretty useless for music, i fear.

Thanks Vosla. Usually, aren't they all just wonderful toys.

Just this week I took delivery of the Amiga's NORDIC POWER cartridge and put it in with the Action Replay. Not only is it all just so good to look at but a system like this promised to rip samples from any Amiga code, then play them with the Sonix MIDI softsynth, sequencers or notators. (Home systems on the shelves during the first pro' sample craze, 25-30 years ago, of course with their own sampler plug-ins and stuff... Brilliant.)

I don't know whether you'd consider that authentic or not, but I think all these old dead things are bloody fantastic up and running again.

Could have been OK for Instant Music's mousejam or some of the overlay programs requiring a fire button. But even there, probably not worth it just to hit fire with the foot instead of a finger.

Interesting ponder though.

It has a small switch panel to configure which joystick control you want to use (directions and fire). It was good for car racing games when pushing the joystick forward ment acceleration and using back for the brake. Didn't had a steering wheel, so ended up using my competition pro instead anyways.
