Hi,
I have been sitting in the background of the "scene" for a while now, listening to SlayRadio and building up my collection from C64Audio.com, always a bit to shy to frequent the forums and IRC channel.
Well, I had to come out of my shell to congratulate everyone involved with this album. I have hardly stopped listening to it since I brought it a few days ago. It's absolutly stunning.
So, to everyone involved, thanks.
Cheers

And thank YOU!
Hope to see you around on the forum now. Don't be shy - we're mostly OK here...

Although I was not involved with the album, I appreciate the fact that you appreciate it, dont know if that makes sense or not.
Also I agree with Tonka, I hope you decide to return and stay with us for a while.

I'm a big a fan of the past remix albums of BIT2 and Remix64 v1.
I'm still forming my opinion of the v3 album as a whole.
However from what I've heard I think it is quite adventurous and bold.

I was listening to the album in shuffle mode on the train while trying to suppress a huge grin. So many genius moments in there!! It was really nice to be able to concentrate on the tracks and try to work out how many layers of sounds are in them. Particular standouts on this mornings listenings were Aspar GP Master (so much stuff going on and classic 80's cheese singing), Dominator (god damn, that ROCKS!), Crazy Comets (the build-up gave me goosebumps) and Sanxion .... I could listen to that sequenced bassline for EVER! - It could have used a bit of phasing here and there on the bass - or a bit where the bassline 'doubles' (like in the original 12" version which goes on for about 15 mins - but I probably should have mentioned that at the Beta stage though I guess). Anyway, fantastic stuff guys!
Oh, and Gem-X. I love this one as it sounds like a 'proper' Back in Time CD track.

I have listened to the album several times on the bus and at work.
I like
every tune on it very much, even those by artists whose tunes I usually don't like that much. I gave every tune got at least an orange smiley, most of them even got the little red guy.
But I have a favorite tune:
"Sanxion" by Tron
What's yours, guys? Choice is limited to only 1 tune!

Can we make it three tunes? It's seriously difficult to limit it just to 1!

Anything you ask for, Chris!
So my personal #2 and #3 are:
#2: "Dominator" by Tonka
#3: "Arkanoid" by Tron

It's extremely hard to judge these tracks, since the whole album is awesome (although I _MIGHT_ be a bit biased, of course...
), but if I have to decide 3 tracks, then my votes will be:
#1 - Monotron - Only You (the WIP is still in my mind, though...
)
#2 - Tron - Sanxion
#3 - Tonka ft. Makke - Dominator
*hmmm* Looks like I'm a bit of a Tonka fanboy, but it's my simple truth.
@omoroca: Btw, thanx for your judgment on my Comic Bakery. It feels good to have made something that quite a few (with some exceptions, as it seems) likes.

Do I get free webspace now?
No, seriously: I feel sorry that someone gave you green one, obviously only to down-vote your wonderful tune. Keep up the good work!

Been listening to Sonic's "Crazy Comets" for some hours now, and it's getting better every 4:13.
Absolutely fantastic work Mr. Johansson!

I enjoy the various tracks on different levels: so I love the songs for being viable songs, and I love the tongue-in-cheek stuff like BMX or Formula One too. Dominator is probably my favourite track, and I'll give a special mention to Jethro Walrus as being an amazing song in its own right, but everything else is very special too, and always brings a smile to my face.
My son John's favourite tracks are:
Gem'X
Formula One Simulator

Just one, I'd say the Monotron one too
Followed by Crazy Comets, Dominator and F1 Simulator...

I'm also in awe of Romeo Knight's work throughout the album...
The whole of Aspar GP is just masterful, and I love the Slaygon/Romeo Tusker lyrics, they're so cheeky
