I noticed the login page is not Https. I'm no expert but wouldn't it be safer to have the login page secure?

Not that I think it's required for a forum at all.

There are several free SSL certificate solutions underway, however none of them receive widespread support yet, so they might cause more concern than security. It is a matter of time though until this won't be a problem any longer.
