Need Advice / Looking for comments

Post by betelzeus »

I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice / comments on a remix i am working on .... I seem to be a bit stuck on it and don't know what to do with it (sort of)

I wasn't sure where to post this , the remix isn't 'exactly' finished so i didn't want to post it in the Releases section ...

Any advice , comments , constructive criticism are welcome or anything really :)

ooooo, this is actually very nice Fersando. Almost celtic, maybe trying to build on that celtic feel could work?

Some celtic type vocals in there might help?

anyway whatever i really like it mate =)

mmmm makes me almost want to get out my green tights and run about robbing the rich to feed the poor.. or summit like that.

It sounds as good as it is, but yeah i do agree with tas (wow!) it could do with some female celtic vocals.. bit of the ol clannads like.

sounds great as it is.

Been a BardsTale Fan for decades, so I am really pleased with your version, Fersando ! :D
How about a complete compilation of BT Tunes done this way ? Would be a nice kick in my RPG Buddies asses...

Thanks guys :D , I'm going to see what I can do about adding some vocals , dunno if I have any thing that has celtic type vocals , i think mostly i just have classical choir stuff.

Anyways though , thanks for the compliments :D , i wasn't sure what kind of reaction i was going to get actually. I wasn't sure if everything fit or something like that , or if it just plain ol stunk lol ... of course then again , I am almost always overly critical of everything I write , at one point i wasn't sure if I should scrap the whole thing and just start over or not...

anyways emm .... i still have to finish recording the flute toward the end of the song, for a while i stopped trying to record it , b/c i hadn't played the flute in so long , i couldn't hit the high notes anymore. I kinda can now but not good at least heh ...anyways ...I'll see what i can do with it

P.S. Oh and emm ... This has been bothering me a little bit , I keep having this feeling that someone that did remixes had the name Fersando before or something really close to it ... and i'd hate to use a name that someone already had. Is it just me or was there someone. Anyways I'm terrible with coming up with names so i just used the first thing that popped in my head ... which was Fernando Sor ...so i just combined it , i dunno I'm a cheeseball i guess lol

Thanks :D

Have to agree with Vosla here, there's some nice (but short) tunes in the whole Bard's Tale series, and orchestral/atmospheric remixes like yours would really work well... Maybe even a Bard's Tale Overture?

Though there is a small problem with the tunes as most of them aren't quite original SID's but taken from classic tunes => no R.K.O. ? :?
BUT I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR THOSE REMIXES. :)
And something like a medley or even an overture would be really nice...
