Radio show idea #1 - Classical music on C64
Posted: 28/02/2004 - 21:05
OK, I've had these ideas for about two years now, but I won't get time to make these shows, probably. So here's the ones I had planned: this is #1, taken from my notes.
- Classical Music on C64
Starting with traditional classical pieces in the early days of the C64 music, (why no original pieces, lack of musical imagination, lack of musicians, copyright), through to real musicians coming to the C64 and going classical styles (Firelord, Kentilla, Trap, Galway Parallax High Score, Rambo stuff, Barbarian, Super Huey, etc), for example)
Irony of music from the C64 being making its way back to orchestral (stuff from RKO, R64 vol2, BIT 2 and BIT 3).
-> C64 conversions of Amiga music (Defender of the Crown)
-> Composers now into classical music (Rob Hubbard's sherlock Holmes music, for instance).
Anyone want to pick up and expand this? There's a LOT of material now, and whoever does it has my permission to use CD material from BIT 3 and BIT 2.
