freestylers - raw as f***

Post by Infamous »

Ok.. in my usual informant mode, id like to point all beat/bass lovers towards the freestylers new album - raw as f***.

pushing the lil cd into my hifi i was confronted by an instant wall of bass and a gabble of afro americans telling me to "big it up" and "brrrrrr rinse it" .. etc but dont let that put you off. because this album really is something special.... or at least to me it is.

Because it has given me new zest.... along with the bootlegged copy of the prodigy's new album that i was fortunate enough to download (not to worry moral brigade ill be buying the damn thing too .. ive got everything else prodigy so i gotta get this new bitch 2!)... anyway as i said ive found myself a new style... or more along the lines of my old style, but with a ... well wait and see ;-).

anyway!!! go now and get the new freestyler album from wherever you can.. highlights include -

boom blast - pure and simple oldskool electro hip hop, with a great vocal hook from the aformentioned jamaican fella's gawd blessem!.

punks - listen to this to get an idea of where im heading now ;-)

and finally - right on - simply for sounding so god damn funky, you just have to nod head and tap toe to the buggering thing!.

that prodigy album btw is pretty weird and if you aint heard it yet and your expecting anything like fat of the land you'll be severly dissapointed its DIFFERENT.. but in a damn good way in my personal opinion, prod forums seem to be mixed though.. guess its all down to taste.

i think thats enuff of me anyway.. im off to find a victim sid ;-).

Yea, Freestylers rock hard. ;)
I have their first album and "Warning" on vinyl (bought in Britain:)). Really stunning. What I didn't like about the second album was the singing voice of that Navigator MC and that they used the same drumloops as in the first one.
I'll check out the new one for sure and I'm looking forward to your future stuff!
