Remixers United for BIT AID !!!

Post by ifadeo »

Chris Abbott wrote:...Maybe a sort of itunes for RKO... but then you've got the next problem of getting permission from the remixers for "commercial" exploitation of their work. After all, some of them may not like me that much ;-) Chris[/i]
...maybe we (the remixers) can put together a special remix cd
with HQ-remixes.... like a benefit cd to help you to get some money back...

...maybe it's just (another) silly idea from me....

Heh, we could call it BIT AID. ;)

Anyway, it's a really good idea and if enough people are willing to do it for free it would be excellent!

I'd do it for free. Hell...I am doing it for free.

that's makke and me by now, anybody else ????

That's kinda what I'm doing for "The Best of the Z-Show" double CD album that I'm currently working on ...

Some money was going towards RKO - but if I bolt another quid onto the price then some money can go to BitLive too - it all helps!

Hopefully the remixers whos work will go on the CDs won't mind me bunging a few bob towards these worthy causes. The double CD set itself will be non-profit, just costing enough to cover the discs, CD case, photo inlay and 2 x photo CD labels + postage + packing + whatever.

Oops, I probably should have mentioned the CDs are already compiled and the show is done - it's just the artwork I need to concentrate on (approx 1 days work involved there) I contacted all the remixers ages ago (well, it seems ages!) and everyone seemed happy to pitch in.

Thanks for the offers though guys. You rule! :D

Mine is done with a bit of form code that Boz gave me - it basically fills in various fields automatically (who the payment is going to, what it's for etc.) which are then sent to PayPal. Neat!
