Tracks on SLAY Radio not in RKO

I was just wondering, after extensive listening sessions to SLAY Radio, that several fantastic tracks played on SLAY can't be found in RKO?
Why is this?

Why is this?
For different reasons:
-There are tracks that were not proper c64remixes, complying with RKO guidelines.
-There are tracks that contains too much "commecial" materials inside and can't be hosted by RKO for (c) reasons.
-There are tracks that comes from commercial cds (like the ones from c64audio and mbdrecords) that can't, for obvious reasons, be avaiable for download.
-There are crappy tunes, like the DjUnz ones, that don't belong at all to the SID
nice to know you're listeing to slayradio.
If you want to enjoy it and have some laugh, tune in saturday and come to the IRC chat channel #slayradio at the same time. Saturday, or when there's any other show.
ciao.

Why not buy some CDs, too? If you're only listening to RKO then you're missing a large part of the picture.

- There are tunes downloaded from places other than RKO in the playlist.
- Some of the tunes RKO used to carry, are still in the rotational playlist.
And yes, it's nice that you've started listening too. =)

Actually I've been listening from time to time, but since RealPlayer won't buffer enough, I prefer using iTunes for internetradio to avoid the hickups while surfing at the same time.
Any chance I can use iTunes to tune in on SLAY Radio?

Damn.. mac users dont get it easy do they.. i use winamp to listen to radio streams. the thing is ever so fast even with 128k streams.. sometimes my computer will have a spaz moment and attempt to use realplayer but im there clicking at the X like a demon.. hasnt the mac got a winamp?.. that might be better to use seeing as its got so many universal plug ins you can near enough play anything on it.

I think if you're still using OS 9, it's just a question of amending your chosen browser's helper application for the file type. Here in "OS X land", you get iTunes as soon as you click on any of the Slay Radio links.
Infamousâ€â€there's no WinAmp on the Mac (but then, there may soon be no new updates on Windows either), but iTunes works fine for Slay Radio and similar sites/streams.

Slayradio plays fine on my iTunes (Windows). Forgot how I added it to the Library, though...

If iTunes is your default player for the relevant media type, it'll add it to the library as soon as you open Slay Radio in the player. You don't actually have to do anything else.
As for Real, I personally don't think it's any better or worse on the Mac than Windows (although the Windows version is slightly less buggy); it *is* a resource hog, but then so is iTunesâ€â€at least to some extent. Then again, the iTunes interface and ease-of-use largely makes up for that (plus my current work Mac is a dual one, so it doesn't slow down at all when using iTunes alongside other apps!)

Lol, if the PC version is less buggy than the Macc version i cry for Macc owners. Real Player on the PC is an aweful piece of software, which constantly corrupts and stops working. Hate the thing with a passion
