I'm thinking about buying Cubase SX3. How does it compare to FL Studio? The thing I like about FL Studio is that it is so easy to work with. Simple things are easy. However I think there is a 64 bit version of Cubase which is mighty tempting as well. I'm thinking Cubase and Sytrus. Thoughts?
Okay I just checked out the pricing for Cubase SX3. Whoa! Not for the casual user.

Well obviously I'm new at this but FL doesn't strike me as hard to use but it took a little getting used to at first but the basic concepts are quite simple, patterns and playlists; and boy is piano roll a indispensable. The automation is nice although I'm not overly happy about the ability to automate the muting of an instrument. (update: Doh, automations bind to playlist channels.)
Of course there are lots of things I haven't looked at so it may be premature to say its simple. Looking at Cubase screens it does look refreshingly clean and structured.
I wouldn't mind some more structured access to data like automation, sort of like you'd traverse a scene in a 3d program scene graf editor with keyframes etc. Well enough babbling.

i.e. tracking
Yeah tracking would be quite nice to have, especially in the event editors.
