Can you help identify an Amiga tune in my head?

Post by Boz »

Eh up everyone,

I've had a tune going around my head for a few days now, and I'm pretty sure it's from an old Amiga tune. There's a string-type intro (as far as I remember), then a synth-tom run-down, and then it goes into the main bit.

I have made a very quick MP3 of the lead -- as it goes in my head -- here:
http://www.c64retro.com/amiga/Unknown.mp3

Also as far as I remember, I'm using the right instrument ("Shamus" found on ST-01) that was used in the tune, too.

Does anyone know what it is, and who the author is? More importantly, where could I grab the MOD from? Any help would be gratefully received, 'cos it's going around in my head and I can't get rid of it!

Thanks in advance!

It sounds vaguely familiar. I don't know what it's called but I do know where you could find it if I did. ;)

Do you think you could add a few harmonies to the notes? Pretty hard to tell from the plain melody...

Hmm, I dont think the original tune had harmonies, unless I'm very much mistaken. I think one channel was the lead, one was a droning bassline, one was a "bouncy" bassline and t'other was the drums.

Sorry mate -- I know it is VERY little to go on, but that's all my brain is giving me at the moment!

Hehe... as LMan says, maybe it's because on it's own it sounds crap... or perhaps that it's using a crap sample... or maybe I'm just dreaming this whole thing!
