Okay, in this game we mention what gets on our nerves the most, and then the next person says something that would suggest that if that thing that annoys didn't exist then something worse would happen.

I'll start us off:

I hate it when people fart and then blame somebody else.

I hate it when you run for a lift and you see people standing in it and you shout wait.. and they just stare blank at you as the doors close and they do sod all about it.. except for that guy at the back who finds the whole situation rather amusing... bastard.

Hate it even worse if you say "Good day" to someone and the person acts as if he/she wouldn't notice you (although only 2 metres away).

On a sidenote: I'm always tempted to append an "Asshole", and if the person reacts to that I'd ask why he/she didn't notice the "Good day" but the "Asshole". Never had the guts so far, but one day, one day...
