Anyone have an idea? (Waz or Chappers?)
Trying to solve this riddle that someone has set and havn't come up with the naswer yet in 2 days and its doing my nut in.. anyone have a clue?
What enters the field of play in a football match at half time, but doesn't leave until the match is over? If it's a Saturday match it leaves after the game, but if it's a midweek game it remains until the next day, and it only occurs in the Premiership, not in Scotland or the lower divisions ????

The only one I can think of is that it's a corner flag or flags but they would be in place before the start of the game and, I would assume, left for the duration of the game until being dealt with afterwards.Tas wrote:Trying to solve this riddle that someone has set and havn't come up with the naswer yet in 2 days and its doing my nut in.. anyone have a clue?

This sounds really daft but do the flags get removed at half-time in the Premiership? It's a possible theory, as some idiot could potentially get on to the pitch, remove the flag and maybe use it as a weapon. I could be completely and totally wrong though as I've not been to watch a Premiership match to date.

Yep, sounds plausible too.Analog-X wrote:The answer is The Referee. He enters the field of play at half-time (not for the first time but he does do so). As the Premiership is the only division in the country with a professional panel of refs they are the only ones who get accommodation arranged for them.
It's a real cunning riddle as it's all about how strictly you interpret the question. I took the "remaining till next day if in midweek" bit as an object that would be there 24/7 till removal.
