I just checked out scene.org and what did I see? Hazel attended the Scene Event 2005 in Denmark - and released an mp3. Anyone else went there? I've been there in the past.

Two nice parties. Scene Event and of course the big one - Assembly.

Why am I not surprised about that ?
Well.. I live in the northen part of Jutland..
I really could have used some help at Scene Event.. The Danes was beaten in the art of drinking beer by those damned Norwegians..

Hvis du bor i nordjylland - then I bet you've been to The Party, Hazel.
Some fairly cool demos have been released at Scene Event in the past. It sort of reminded me of my golden years at The Party. But I don't know. I'm getting too old to sit up for days and sleeping on floors and in tents. Besides, having no car means that I have to bring a crappy laptop. No fun in that.
ps. Check out music releases at Assembly 2005. Some nice stuff.

I sure has..
From 1991 untill 2000 which was my last one.. Everything really became crap at The Party.. Well.. It started to go wrong in '98-'99 if you ask me..
Now I'm only visiting the smaller parties.. Seems like they still have the good old spirit... It's quite funny to meet the same old geezers everytime..
Don't tell me about getting to old for this shit..
I had to sleep in my car at SE.. I still suffer from it..

Already did that.. And saved a few of them..

I used to visit The Party for a couple of years with a friend. I slept in the car outside while it snowed and was freezing. The car engine was turned on for a while to warm up the car before I slept. THAT's suffering pal!
The Party used to be underground with cutting edge productions. Then it became a rediculous mainstream gamer party. I wasn't too keen on the food and toilet arrangements at The Party though - and one year they pulled off a loud rave party in the sleeping hall - what the f* we're they thinking. You just don't do that kind of shit.
I remember a small fun episode too. A guy turned up his stereo to near max. Then he went for a "stroll" so we could enjoy his music. I think the crew contacted him though.
Then there was the decibel record attempts. :/ But all in all fun.
(ps. Saved all asm music and created a winamp playlist; I'm a sucker for playlists)

I was at The Party from 91 to 93, and stopped by for one day only in '97.
TP'93 visitors might remember a lit Atari sign sitting on top of a b/w telly hooked up to a Gamatic 7600 (Pong) console. Or the finals of the Pong tournament being shown on the big screen in hall 1.
If you were there and had a go at the game, we've met.

I remember that year... Damn... I was so tired and then they began to play VERY loud.. But it was pretty good music though..

There was a lot of those persons around.. hehe.. The most weird episode I encountered was in '97 where our group had joined the wild demo compo.. Our demo was never shown at the compo but never the less it recieved points.. Weird...

I do remember the Atari bit but I didn't try the game...

Nah, that wasn't good music. It was loud though. Plenty of loudness - beyond papir thin walls. Som vi siger i Danmark: Dybt Gonat Do!
