For me it was the latest Opera browser, just to see if it lives upto the hype.

In Memoriam.

I've had the game for a year or so but never played it much. It's supposed to be atmospheric.

We will see!

Version 6 of ZoneAlarm. And a rollback to version 5.

Regardless of the discussion about the sense or nonsense of a desktop firewall, I used this as a kind of bouncer to prevent unsolicited data streams ("calling home") of applications the easy way.

WELL! This version 6 is seriously bugged!
It never really finishes the installation process, so every reboot it starts an installation process which goes straight into nirvana, lagging the whole machine to a crawl. After that it tries to access the network (that's not even started yet) and laggs again.

So I deinstalled the thing, had to kill some files with bare hands and reinstalled the old version 5.

What a waste of time. :/
Busy surviving.

System Shock 2. Just to check if it was better of as a sweet memory or if it's still the best game I've ever played...

Forget the graphics - system shock 2 is still atmospheric as fuck.

I played it with the cheat codes enabled and it was still difficult :)
