How we did it in the old days :)
How we did it in the old days :)
I don't know if this has been posted before.. If so then sorry about that.. Anyway...
I was looking through stuff on some old cd's and I stumbled upon a interview with Rob Hubbard which was recorded at the Assembly 2003 party..
It was quite cool to hear him explain how he made his music back then.. That's gotta to have been HARD work...
I wonder how RKO would look like today if we had to make our music in the "oldskool" way. There probably wouldn't be more than a handful songs available..
The Interview
I remember I got my very own music routine back then.. A friend (Pet / Jewels) made it for me.. It's was very similar to Hubbards way to make music.. But as you can see on the missing tunes on HSVC, I didn't quite figure it out..

That was a part of the video I shot at Assembly 2002 when Rob Hubbard
was there. They aired only a part of it at Assembly 2003, and that's what
the clip is. The broadcast schedule was so tight and I was so late in
contributing it to the broadcast that I guess they couldn't get any longer
clip shown.
I however have the original miniDV -tape and if I remember correctly
I did a good-quality divx -version of it that fits on a CD. It has the
complete seminar by him and all the chit-chat what was going on
after the seminar when all of us fans surrounded him in one of
the corridors at Asm2002
If anybody is interested, I could upload the CD version somewhere
on the net. However I don't have access to that much of a serverspace
so help is going to be needed
I also have the complete Machinae Supremacy and Tero (Deetsay)
-gigs from the same event but distributing them could be interpreted
as a violation of copyright (boo! hissss! shhhhh!)
I shot the gigs with my own 3CCD camera within the audience, and
man, was the air filled with magic, heat, sweat and all that sorts of
things
