Goes to show they don't just vote for pretty people in the eurovision..
Although I did find dana international a lot scarier ;)

Their music is quite good compared to the crap I've seen in previous eurovisions..

For the people that don't know their music yet..

Or check here for instructions on how to yank the illegally obtained MP3 that Sony put on the official Lordi page onto your own harddrive.

I checked the eurovision thing yesterday and finally understood the reason there's no italian running in the competition.

All the songs were awful crap of the worst kind.

If, as it seems, the contest is intended to give the highest ranks to the most crappy songs, italians would have win by misure, no way out.

If Dr.Fikalover was in the contest, he would have win for sure

People are quite upset of Lordi winning the contest...
Well... WHY?

Lordi reminds me of KISS, regarding their music and show, their costumes are slightly "better". Slipknot would have been more of a shock...

Best joke was made by some journalist who said he expected Lordi to take of the demon mask to reveal Ralph Siegel...

Without Lordi winning the contest I wouldn't give a fart for Eurovision... been shit in the past and no end in sight.
All is lost.

I'm confused, is this contest designed to showcase crap Music?

Yes?!

Take all bad things you heard about the european union (corruption, bureaucracy, etc.) and transpose that onto a musical plane...
Voilà, Eurovision!

And Lordi was a good thing to happen... i got nothing against them.
All is lost.

I agree. Lordi was above standard, but I wouldn't bet my life-savings that I will remember the song the next month.

Heck I'm forgetting how it goes already

The refrain in their song sounds really like a track by alice cooper, i can't remember witch though...

They should be sued for that...

I was AMAZED!!!! by the fact that the UK public gave it 12 points.. I thought to myself surely we won't be so stupid, but infact we were!!!

I don't pretend to think that i thought the song was dire with a capital D! Maybe i don't get the culture these days i dunno.

I thought the UK entry was OK, nothing more.. It was never going to be a winner, it was typically too English, right down to the accents and the theme of it.

Still it's great to watch for Comic Value! Terry Wogan is a genious when it comes to commentating on this competition. I doubt i'd even watch it if it wasn't for him!

Quote of the competion from Wogan..."Spain? They lost the plot years ago!"
