Commodore Remix

After two votes, this tune was at chart position 1. (100%).
Well, I didn't think it would stay there, but I'm very happy to see this remix is getting rated much higher than my previous ones.

Now, I would love to get some comments.

Well, here's what I wrote for my R64 review, if that's any help:

Ouwehand's Last Ninja music tended to take more of a filmic stance than the original tunes, and Yoshi's remix enhances this feel, bringing to mind the ideal soundtrack for the film of the game. The mellow sounds and occasional, carefully chosen samples lend the piece a warm atmosphere that encapsulates, while the dirty but effective drumloops effortlessly carry the track over its four-and-a-half minute length. Recommend

i like it ! soundtrack is a good word for it, comes like the opening scene to an eastern movie. a bit depressive, hits very well the lone ninja warrior theme in a modern setting. go ahead, ninja, make my day !

A remix of a remix... interesting... better a cover of a remix.

I haven't heard the original in that case..

There is not much to write... it's a bit boring, like the original, it's a 1:1 cover that lacks of own inspiration.

What!? I'm no PRO, but hell, I tried...

While the drums are set on the left and right edge of the stereo-panorama, the lead is set just besides the middle.. very strange.

The lead is NOT set besides the middle!!!!! Its totally surrounding you if you have a surround system and is the same at both channels, just a little (a few ms) offset on the right so it doesnt come from the midspeaker and/or mess up the surroundchannel.

The end of the song is a bit abrupt. Maybe a different choise of instruments would have helped the song to overcome the "average" rating.

I think my choice of intruments is what make this song "this song".

It's a great tune Yoshi. Elliot has his own tastes. I personally feel that any serious "remix" maker should make 1:1 versions. I HATE it when people really do "remix" versions that has all kinds of crap and new stuff in them that they came up with. The real challenge is to make a song that plays exactly like the original, but sounds real, that way you can truly revive old SID music and make them sound like they always should have sounded like.

That's how I make my "remixes" every note of the original is carefully listened to and then recreated (if possible )

Well, I'm also try everytime, if I remix a sid, to make it different but
I also try to catch the spirit of the orginal tune...
