REVIVAL ST - VOLUME 62 !!!

Hey, it looks like Neil got us all fooled all the time: not only has he been working on a follow-up to the "Revival ST" project behind our backs - the album is out there already! I found this image of the CD cover (fantastic artwork, BTW) in issue 11 of Atari diskmag Alive:
Hehe, sorry, but I just couldn't resist posting this pic here. Apparently, the image resulted from a heavy discussion on the Atari board regarding the qualities of the "Revival" album. However, there's a really nice and detailed review of the album on the Alive pages you should definitely have a look at as well:

I don't think Remix 64 has the emoticons to deal with this...

Did you know Tas built a version of Revival ST before the first CD came out?
Found this in my archives:

I can see why the arguments would have kicked off with the ST fans as the lack of chip-sounds is the biggest shortfall of the CD ...
... But then again I'm probably biased as I *love* the use of chip sounds in remixes.

Yup, I did the same. I still have a couple of the tapes in my sisters car. I borrow it from time to time, and you never know when you need a SID-fix on the road.

I have a couple of audio tapes I recorded from the C64*, and of course Kenz's excellent BZ tapes.
*We were in the living room, and the sound was up pretty high because all we had was a crappy old portable tape recorder. In fact on one of the recordings (Wizball) you can hear my brother say "Wow!" as the front window starts to shake in time with the bass

Maybe some of you (mainly the Germans in here) might be interested in the rather new German language printmag "Retro":
http://www.retromagazin.eu - their first issue features a rare review of the "Revival ST" album. Just out of curiosity, has anyone eventually read it and knows the verdict
