Currently when I record I use the following.

Sennheiser HD 433

I just dont have the proper environment to setup real Monitor Speakers to record, and dont want to drive my Wife nuts, when I spend many hours listening and tweaking loops and listening to the same track over and over again.

Do you think it would be worth getting these?

or will these do the same job?

I think the general consensus is that whatever monitoring system you're going to record/mix with, you need to know it quite well. If you're going to change, you will need to make sure you use the new pair as much as possible in order to get a feel for what they should sound like (by listening to pre-recorded stuff on them). I can't see that they would be any better worse than your Sennheiser's, once you get accustomed to them.

I've tried writing & mixing with headphones (AKG) and I just can't to it. Mainly because I have yet to find a pair of headphones that don't squish my head and give me a headache after about 30 mins :(

Maybe the shape of my head is to blame...

Tonka: Sound advice, thank you. I'm actually happy using the Sennheiser's I got now, however I was jut wondering if I'm missing out on anything.

As for comfort they are very comfortable, I can wear them for hours without pinching my head or getting sweaty ears that hurt later like you get sometimes with certain headphones.
