I had the pleasure to betatest it (not as much as i wished, but that's life).
Take a listen to the preset mp3s.

Mmmh, another preset monster. Does it have some fancy modulation possibilities?
(Btw.: How comes you're beta tester? Interestingly I worked with Michael Kleps (who IS reFX) on the AMIGA version of Bomberman back in the days.) :)

Good - now maybe they'll get a move on with Octasid!

Gotta say I don't generally dig the whole 'rompler' thing, but Refx DO have a good track record of creating synths of a unique character. I will definitely be checking out the demo when it becomes available :)

It's basically a rompler with limited modulation possibilities. it has filters, an arpeggiator and various fxes. I tried to convince Mike to add some more modulation possibilities but he decided to stand a point on the rompler stuff. And, after all, he was right.
Nexus is a real monster: it sounds much better than any other rompler i tried and enough presets to keep you going for a long time. and you can always alter them (not so radically, but you can) to make them fit your needs.

About mr. M.K., i contacted him after buying TBL (his first vsti), proposed him to do a SID VSTi (wich became QuadraSID) and been doing betatesting and/or presets for him since then. :)

I don't think there would be any problem if you write him, explain and who you are :) by now, anyway, he should be under pressure for Nexus, so maybe it's better if you wait a bit.

Well, it's strictly Dancefloor, Trance and what you call it. But the demos sound pretty impressive indeed. At last, nothing for daddy.

Heck there is enough people here to help Beta Test.

On the next product/project he should do a closed beta test utilizing this site. He would get valuable help.

ReFX really make great plugs. The instruments are very good, but I also loved the bitcrusher. (which had the shape of a C64)..

Cheers,

Reyn.
