[WIP] 2001

Post by Condor »

Hm, I started remixing another favorite SID. It's 'Slaygon - 2001'. (VARIOUS/S-Z/Slaygon/2001.sid)

However, I need for you to tell me what to do next. Here is a rough copy of tonight's experimenting. This SID is perfect for psytrance!

http://www.uploading.com/files/Z7VC1WQB ... 1.mp3.html

What do you dislike/like, what should I do next. Transition to 4x4 is not even close to perfect, like I said it is a rough copy.

Thanks :)

It took me some time, but I finally got the file. Cool that you let us take part in your music development process.

Sounds good so far, only the hi-hat seems a little out of place. My recommendation would be to completely throw it out and choose a different one.

Aside from that, I mean it's a Trance track, so what kind of variations can one expect? Maybe you should try some "breaks" with wild percussion stuff like this one here http://www.stomponline.com/sv/bins.aiff from the musical "Stomp". I'm not a musical fan, but I think maybe this could work with this remix. But that's just one idea, there could be better ones.

Thanks ommoroca & analog-x.

@Analog-X: This file will be also moved to rapidshare :). I will not use that damn site again *&@)@.

And here is what I thought I would do... I thougth to create somethig between trance/techno (that's why hats are not trance-a-like), but very dark one...
That is what I meant as variation :)
heh, I listened to that beat, damn... Awesome break, but it would not be used for this remix (if I can finish it)... However, you gave me idea for similar thing (& another remix).

Branko :)
