New CD by Chris Hülsbeck

Post by Dr.Future »

Vdeo game music veteran Chris Huelsbeck is planning to release a new album - after ten years of silence. Release date of the new album: August 22, 2007. The CD will be sold for the first time at the Fifth Symphonic Game Music Concert exclusively. Chris Huelsbeck will stand available for an autograph session at the Gewandhaus concert hall. Chris Huelsbeck explained that the album (HCD9) will come with new electronic music, no remixes of old games, although the style is going to be retro mainly. An interview & a first preview can be downloaded here:

Yeah, this is definitely good news (hmm, wrong forum section?). The preview mp3 sounds pretty nice too.

One part of the preview reminds me of some 80s synth classic... Georgio Moroder something?

Anyway better than buying another easy listening CD compilation for my collection. Sounds like he is really back with fresh ideas. Nice :-)
