Notepads.

"So we went to Atari and said, 'Hey, we've got this amazing thing, even
built with some of your parts, and what do you think about funding us? Or
we' ll give it to you. We just want to do it. Pay our salary, we'll come
work for you.' And they said, 'No.' So then we went to Hewlett-Packard, and
they said, 'Hey, we don't need you. You haven't got through college yet.'"

Seen a few of them before, but still funny...

I think my favourite is the scientist who proved that a human could not run a four minute mile back in the 1920's...

I loved that story where a scientist 'proved' somewhere back in the late 1800s that riding on a train makes you move so fast, that it flips your mind...
Well, looking at highways today gives me an idea what he was about...
Busy surviving.

I think its fair to say those thats say something can't be done usually get proved otherwise..

But I'll stand by comment that a human cannot run a mile in 1 second... Quote that bugger in years to come ;)

And Dan G can't drink 15 pints of Stella in 14 seconds.. That one may actually be very wrong ;)
