Doncaster is isolated at the moment, virtually all roads are closed in Doncaster and the water is now just a few CM from my door step and it's only 2pm - The heavy rain is expected til 10pm. Pretty scarey stuff!!!!

Not just Doncaster - The entire of South Yorkshire has been hit very badly.
We've sand bagged our house just to be safe - But it is still rising and not looking very clever.

Understatement, as this picture gallery proves:

Take all your valuable stuff upstairs, especially electrical stuff. Hope it doesn't get any worse for you, squire.

What's this doing in the fun forum? This should be in the disaster forum!
Anyway, I hope for the best and that none of your property will be destroyed because of this, mate!

The worst is yet to come. It's been announced in the last few hours That River Don will burst it's banks either tonight or tomorrow - Irrespective if it continues to rain or not.
Fortunately, I'm far away enough from that area.

Bloody hell. I know off people with a swimming pool or even a jacuzzi in there garden. But never hear of someone having his own rapids!
Seems that ITV1 thingy was spot on with there level 3 flood warning last Saturday.
*big hug* Take care tas, hope you'll keep your feet and house dry.
The Dutch might be able to handle a flood, but it seems you have them more than us.

For those who live in the area effected by the Rain I hope you are all doing ok.
I heard about the train situation on Local news here, there was a mention of a concert that was going to take place or maybe not with all the rain.

Man, Tas! I hope this don't get out of hand even more! I press you two thumbs that the water doesn't make it into your house!!!
We had pretty bad weather over here but nothing more than some heavy summer rain and a thunderstorm here and there.
Keep dry, friend!

Yeah, I hope you're alright. If floods ever hit this place, god knows how we'd manage to move enough stuff upstairs in time... I guess it would be photos, videos and computers first. Scary.

It's still raining but it's slowed down somewhat, although there's a bloody gale blowing now.
Think if the forcast remains as it says We'll just escape it entering the house (Although only just)
