Commodore Remix

Made a remix of Jeroen Tel's - Looking Around.
The mastering will be better and it is abit repeteteteteive, it's 1:40 at night now, been working on this since 8 in the evening

I'm not sure about the drums, thinking of more smooth drums

Very nice indeed... I dont think I've ever heard the original.

Now taking 0:00 - 00:22 and adding a nice razor sharp lead with some bite to it, it could turn into a whole new song.

Looking forward to hearing an updated version and the final even.

Well I didn't know the name of the piece until now, but I certainly know the original SID well as it was used in several cracked game intros I have here...

I like the bouncy feel to it... like ska... maybe ska it a bit more?

Thats what I wanted to say in my original post!!! but I couldnt remember the word. Yes its very ska!! and bouncy

Oh just your bog standard cracktro scroller screen... I think one was the Burglar crack of Enforcer (the Manfred Trenz shooter)...

I like this newer version better, though I miss the minor note drop on the 5th beat of the bass line... the pitch in both remixes is lower than the original, or so it sounds to me. However when you drop the overall pitch of the bass beat at 1:15 the 5th note sounds correct to me!

I can't hear any difference on the bass

Well I don't literally mean the bass here... I mean the 6 note repeating ditty that starts the track and underlies most of it. Where the second, third and fourth notes are the same pitch. To me the fifth note then afterwards sounds too low compared to the original.

I noticed that too, I might fix that or stay with as is cause I am used to this now

Fair enough... as said I picked up on it because I know the original so well, it immediately leapt out and said "different"
