Its out of topic cause its not scene related.

My Job interview went very well, the slight glitch is there was someone who applied for the job internally. But you never know.

Wife had minor surgery to repair hernia, so I'll be home to take care of her. I am scheduled to fly back out. But I think I'm just going to phone them and tell them I'm not going. Maybe I'll get that new job and wont have to go out at all. :)

AnalogX: Hope the best for you... you deserve some time to be creative if you ask me :) ... I'll cross my fingers, and play ceremonial Ninja music on all my analog gear in hope it makes a difference!

Analog X: erm... yes I've managed to get that "Clock Radio" I wrote about, and it sounds awesome! ... old FM chips are warm and analog in nature... really really good for Goa basses 8)

I also got the Waldorf 4-pole analog filter... and it's a dream! ... really creamy and when you overdrive the input gain, it distorts so incredibly nice! ... I'm arranging for this unit to work as a voice processor, so that can make some nice growly distorted hardcore techno voice-FX

Then as an additional, I've actually purchased an Oberheim Matrix-1000 as well  ... niiiiiiice warm analog oscillators and filters.... it's monophonic, and sounds incredible with stringsounds... and through the Smallstone Phaser!? ... WOWOWOW! :P

Erm... I also bought a TC Electronics D-TWO delay processor  this thing really rocks when it comes to delay.... especially rhythmic delays.

Currently I'm looking for an analog vocoder as well, as I'm trying to set up some sort of "vocal processing chain" ... and also I'm thinking about getting an analog chorus and distortion pedal for my Matrix-1000 on top of the smallstone phaser...

erm... now you got me going Analog X! ... don't do that unless you're ready for 3 pages of text

I love reading you're posts, they are very informative and fun to read.

I have a Roland SH-101 and MKS-30 I wonder if any of the String sounds I can generate out of those would sound any better going through a Small Stone phaser??

Analog X: bet you can do nice pads through a smallstone with the MKS-30 ... I've got an MKS-50 myself and it's sweet... the SH-101 I'm not so sure about, since it's monophonic, and would not allow chords, but nonetheless, the SH-101 is a darn nice machine!.... it has a SSM filter :P the only filter-chip I don't have in my collection  ... the same filter is in many of KORG's machines like the Mono/Poly and the Polysix... also early E-mu samplers had them... I believe Dave Rossum who founded E-mu actually designed the SSM chips :) ... If I remember correctly, also the Waldorf PPG had SSM filters...

though, I prefer custom filters... synths with their own personal filter, that make them unique... the SSM and CEM filter chips was used in REALLY many analog and semi-analog machines in the 80's... that is why some of Roland's and Korgs synths sound so special... they have a unique filter. Moog as well... it's incredible how big a difference a filter make the sound... even within the same filter-chips...

now... not having funds for a real Moog or ARP analog synth, teh best I've managed is still the Waldorf Pulse... it's a cascade filter, and it's HOT! ... I've not managed to make anything even close with any other analog filter yet... it's not suited for agressive resonance TB-303 type sounds, but if you were to remix some boomy bass tracks like for example many of DRAX' tunes, the Pulse would simple kick ass ultimately! it's just that type of filter sound that will "eat up" any other sounds in it's frequency range  ... going really deep, I can feel air comming from my monitors more than 1 meters away!!! ... I need a subwoofer :P
