Pavarotti passed away this morning (serious!)

Post by omoroca »

After suffering from cancer for years, world-famous tenor Luciano Pavarotti passed away this morning in his hometown Modena/Italy.

Although I never was a big fan of operas and stuff, it came as a shock to me, that one of the most famous and best musicians of our time is gone forever.

So everybody who is feeling like me right now, click the following link and listen in silent commemoration. The song is called "Rondine al nido", some of you may know it from the "Star Trek: Voyager" episode 6/13 ("Virtuoso"), but this Pavarotti interpretation is even better and more emotional. It is a sad song about spurned love.

Very sad to hear of Luciano's death, his final curtain call has come.

Rest in peace.

A great voice left the stage forever.
(Well, his vocal cords weren't in that good shape anymore lately but nethertheless a loss...)
