look what i found

after the wife decided to kick me out she boxed all my stuff up. (with help from her new boyfiend)
one of the items she and he dug out was this :
An 8250 ... a
Dual 5.25" drive for the C64 !!
I forgot i had it.
How cool is that ???

In case you do not know/remember: these drives are meant for the PET/CBM series, *not* the 64, they will only work on the 64 with an IEEE-488 interface. They also use a different disk format (~1 mbyte per disk) which is not compatible with the 1541. But with the interface they should work fine for onefilers or kernel-loaders.

i did have this pluged into the c64 before.
ok .. only drive 0 worked....
but it did work with a c64 :o)
btw .. its feking huge !!
you have to love commodore ... think big :o)

Well, drive 1 *should* work by prepending "1:" to the program name, like
LOAD"1:SOMETHING",8
Without this an implicit "0:" is added.

That's the drive we had back in school in the data lab with some CBMs. Oh, the memories!
