Commodore Remix

I'm not sure if this has eventually been posted somewhere over here already: Jim Cuomo of "Defender of the Crown" fame has recently released a new album called "Significant Bits". It is available as digital download only from http://pigeonmusic.ehost-services111.com/sigbit.htm - for a price of 11 Euro you get 20 original tracks (including Cuomo's rare score music from the FM Towns version of "Sim City"). Jim is playing clarinet, soprano sax and digi-horn over a soundscape created with the help of vintage machines like the Oric or the Commodore Amiga. Special guest Divag performs 8-bit music & drums on a classic Gameboy. Sounds weird? It sure does, but that's exactly what makes this album so interesting in my opinion... personally, I have enjoyed it a lot! Be sure to check out the above website for mp3 snippets.

BTW: I also bought two CDs with music from Jim Cuomo's old band "Spoils of War" (http://pigeonmusic.ehost-services111.com/sw.htm) and noticed something interesting while listening to them - there's a live recording of a track called "Neckbrace" on their second album, which seems to be an early (and somewhat psychedelic) version of the composition that later became the famous title music from Cinemaware's "Defender of the Crown"... this was recorded in 1967
