Basically, I am using the Windows standard sound scheme.

But I have altered some of the sounds to better fit the system events (my Windows is German, so I don't know the exact English names for the events).

I'm interested if I'm the only one that's so weird or if any of you have similar things on your PCs?

If you do, please share! I'd like to hear them.

No you're not the only one.

I used to make some elaborate themes with Windows 95, somewhere along the way I lost interest. But I may start again with these sounds. :)

Thanks for sharing.

Hihih sweet sounds.

I used to try to make win95 behave and look like an amiga and also did some soundschemes for it. This got me interested into doing it again.

That's cool, love the idea. I oughta do something similar on my Mac.

I used a selfmade Warcraft 2 sound scheme (German version) some years ago.
For a while it was fun.
Nowadays I stay with the standard scheme because as IT support it's easier to interpret sounds over the phone when clients do things to their machines at work.

I always wondered how ppl would react to C64 remix that used recycled default win sounds...
Interestingly someone made a track using sndrec32.exe. Link here.

Yeah I used to do those, although I made them more mellow and less obtrusive. In the end I switched off all the sounds since after a while I find them all annoying, no matter how soothing the sounds :D

There was already such a remix:

An old Windows startup sound accidentally went in there at 1:52! ;-)
