Look at what the japanese get to have on the Nintendo DS:

If Tomsk can remix Knucklebusters in its entirity on a Playstation 1 then I can't wait to see what people can do with this baby.

Being able to link and play more than unit through WiFi is a cool feature - will we see the first touch-screen chiptune act?

I've had a chance to play with this unit, which is an Korg MS-10 Emulator.
you can create some great beefy sound and effects especially with the stylus.
Although you are limited to 2 Synth sounds and 4 Drum sounds you can still create some neat tunes.
I might convert an Amiga Tune one of these days.
Its greatest limiting factor is the Sequencer. If you think of Tracking, methodology.
The Ds-10 is limited to 16 Patterns. and a length of 96. or 96 Slots where these patterns can be allocated in.
I can see it being a great tool as part of a studio, or live performance where you can trigger patterns along with other equipment.
If they had included a Tracker style sequencer I would have given it a 10/10 but It only gets a 7/10 for me.

Also if you search on YouTube there are many clips.

Just heard from a mate who received the DS-10 cart yesterday. So far he's loving it.

I plan to make a Video with some demos of it sometime soon. I've also started converting something to the DS.

Hmm... anybody know if a DS can be connected via MIDI?
Funny also with that name... the KORG DS-8 was an FM synth from the 80's... my first synth ever actualy.

Thanx Analog-X64
But for some reason, the DSMIDI cartridge which is what I'd be interested in, are not to be found on the link really...
I don't know what CPU is in the DS, and what it takes to code it, but I'd be really interested in making a kind of Sequencer for this setup, using the DS as a small portable sequencing package for controlling just ONE hardware synth (Waldorf Blofeld for example)...
But hey... all these things I want to do... guess it'll never be finished anyways hehe
