A while back I asked about legality around remixing in [this thread:

I never got an answer from the guys in Apoptygma, so I took a chance and did my remix anyway.
I have sent them a copy of the remix at least, so I'm not hiding anything. Hehe.
Anyway, built it from the ground up - aiming for a totally different sound.
I also did the vocals myself, changing the lyrics juuust a little here and there.
It turned out okay I think ... a little "dirty" sound, but I think it fits.
