And you know what? If you can write usefull program who cares if its on an 8-Bit machine from 20+ Years ago, if it does the job thats what matters.

I'm sure SIDs are utilised to play the alarm sounds, in case someone decides to break in and steal something.
Those C64s might even be programmed to dial in 911 and in the lovely voice of SAM explain the situation to police.

A good idea, but I suspect the emergency operators would only respond:
"Mr. Hawking, if this is about the space-time continuum being threatened again, I'm afraid I have orders to hang up."
