Hi all, Robinson here. Love the C64 remixes you guys make -- wish I had the skills to make the excellent tunes you do! I realize that a lot of hard work goes into the remixes and heartily thank you in advance if you choose to remix one!

Here are a few I've long wanted to hear remixed - some are a bit slow and haunting, but from what I've heard from remixers like Chronberg, that doesn't always need to be an obstacle!

Martin Walker's Citadel, Track 1 (sooo awesome, love this SID - would be a real challenge I'd guess) -- I don't think it would take much updating, and would like to hear a lot of the original SID sounds mixed with some atmospheric echo noise:

Below the Root, Track 1 (no existing remixes - a simple but enduring tune that stuck with me over the years) - Something along the lines of Chronberg's "Heartland" (http://remix.kwed.org/files/RKOfiles/Ch ... remix).mp3) - but with this tune would be mind-blowin' methinks:

Necromancer, Track 1 (there is one existing remix but I was hoping for something more upbeat in nature - like Yoko's Target Renegade (http://remix.kwed.org/files/RKOfiles/Yo ... ix)%20.mp3) :P ): The way the original SID layers over itself in harmony would seem perfect for electronic/techno type music.

Realm of Impossibility, Tracks 1, 2) - I can see some possibilities with this one, probably should be slowed down by about half with a loud Dance/Club sound with a thumping beat would be sweet - ( something like Chronberg's Gyroscope http://remix.kwed.org/?search_id=3151 ):

Cheers!

PS - I'd love to do an interview with said remixer like the one I did here with Chronberg: http://c64walkabout.com/2008/10/02/excl ... nberg.aspx

I might as well add one more....play the numbers game and maybe one will get remixed, right? :P :P :P

Telengard - http://www.slayradio.org/sid_info.php?s ... _BASIC.sid

Such a creepy tune - certainly not appropriate for an upbeat happy dance type mix -- and so low tech SID. Not even sure if some of the sounds in the song were intentional! This was my first game and the first "song" I heard on a C64, and still I loved it.

For years I kept an old worn out tape of C64 music and this was the first song on that cassette.

How I would love to hear a remix of this puppy! And I have to think that the nostalgia factor alone would make for some good scores. ;)

I have the entire soundtrack to citadel redone which i did around about the same time as i was doing hunters moon "just in case" but it never happened.. maybe i'll fiddle about with sub1 again see what i can do with it, most of my stuff from back in that era isnt that good I was severely over compensating with compressors and EQ level's and everything was running through 2 mixers.... daft.

See what i can rescue from it.

Awesome, I'd be happy with anything like that! Would be a shame for all of that work not to see the light of day!

I've got some old fiction I'm looking to salvage from many years ago, so I know how it feels to look back at your old work and feel it's not up to par --- but I'd bet it would still be some kick butt stuff --- any attempt at remixing Citadel alone is worthy of some praise!

Two of my favorite words in one sentence: "Citadel" and "Infamous".

Dude, I'd love to hear what you can do with it.
