I've read some good things about it. Seems it lives up to the hype. Here's a good (if long) review: http://www.justadventure.com/reviews/So ... londe.shtm

If you want something that's a little more retro and looks and feels like Monkey Island, try The Tales of Bingwood: http://www.bugfactory.fi/?page=bingwood

Thanks for the tip. I like the Monkey Island series and I'll check to see if local stores have the DS Version of the Blonde Game.

Have you tried SCUMM for the DS?

i have SCUMMVM on both my Nintendo DS and my Windows Mobile PDA. Must say that the latter works a bit better, because it has the perfect resolution for most SCUMM games ( 320x240, the extra space in the bottom is used for some buttons ), and in the DS version it doesn't fit completely ( although it does a very good job with the scrolling or fit-to-screen option ).
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO what a ride'

I use SCUMMVM for Symbian on my Samsung i560, which works incredibly well (with adlib sound, speech and all).

Just grabbed, the PSP and DS Versions... I got "Beneath a Steel Sky" CD Version up an running very quickly... and it was very generous of Revolution Software to give away Beneath a Steel Sky and Flight of the Amazon Queen for free.

Going to play BaSS on my PSP For a while.

Hehe. Funny - every new console that I get, I just end up playing old emulated games on it. Got the kids a Wii for Xmas and all they want to play is Sonic and Tails on the Megadrive VC. I thought it was my age, but it would appear that the old games are simply, well, 'better'...

Speaking of old games, R-Type and R-Type II were released on Xbox Live Arcade yesterday. Plays just the real thing too (i.e. bloody difficult)

I love all the R-Types (even the third one). And yes - they are not the most forgiving of games. Basically, if you lose your weapons at any stage, you may as well just restart!

PC Engine/Trubografx version is very accurate conversion (shame I gotta play it on a Gamecube controller though - bleurgh)!
