I'm not surprised: Movies based on comic novels have gone mainstream for long, and that's what G.I. Joe is first of all: an action figure with a comic spin-off.
The trailer btw looks like the typical FX-nobrainer (how could someone expect something else of course :) )

I've been following this story for some time, there are some big names in it...the leader of the G.I. Joes will be Brandon Fraser from "The Mummies" Fame.

i won't mind doing some practical testing to find that out :)
