Club EXTRA Koblenz - redone in Duke3d
Posted: 11/03/2009 - 8:59
Hey all,
in the 90s, when rave was hip, and time was aplenty, I faithfully remade our favourite club of that time as Duke Nukem 3d level. The club was named "EXTRA" and was located near Koblenz. It had 4 dancefloor areas (Techno, Dance, Black, Folk/Country/Disco), and 9 dolby movie showrooms. Sadly the EXTRA closed doors in the early 2000s.
In the map I used very great detail, more than usual for Duke maps, the turntable piccy is an example for that. I also made many custom textures for this level.
If you want to try it, here's a runnable version with EDuke. The archive contains a couple of other maps I made, I'll prolly put up some screens of those as well.
Important: you'll need the original DUKE3D.GRP file and put it in the same folder. It is not legal to distribute that file through the web. So if you got an original copy of Duke, just grab the file from there. To run my maps, just click on "!run_EXTRA.exe" for example.

Here's some screens, running in EDUKE.
