I'm afraid he died in a freak icicle swallowing accident in the Sahara desert, and so was unable to ride his unicycle.

Actually, he would have appeared, but he's just shy when non-drunk.
And he doesn't know how to unicycle.

Hey, I used to ride a unicycle back in school... Maybe I can still remember how to do it....
Can one loose his driver's license when driving under the influence on a unicycle?
