Yeah, get on it, it's fun and you meet new ppl all the time
I have already met 2 of my old friends I lost contact with from back in the 90's, it was really fun to hear from them again

I mostly use Facebook for personal friends and family now. I decided to go from almost 900 friends and rising, to a mere 160 now, and I'm trying to keep it that way - so I'm not trying to be rude if I don't accept more requests.

I'm using MySpace instead for music stuff, etc.
