Commodore 64c Introductory Audio Cassette

Post by Commie_User »

A little something I found under the bed last week:

Jonathan Kidd introduces the wonders of the Commodore 64 for late buyers, guiding you through the installation of the machine plus a few of the bundled games to sample.

Some Commodore packages, for example the Mindbenders set, contained an edited version of this tape as no lightgun or SEUCK package would have been included.

The 'remastered' soundtrack is accompanied by various Commodore imagery from my personal collection.

I know that Lemon links to the Realplayer version of this tape, but I've EQ'd, noise-reduced and compressed mine a bit, raised the volume and added some photos and screenshots. And on top of that, the Lemon one turns out to be the expurgated version.

Due to popular demand (on my level one bloke is by popular demand!), I've added the Amiga music B-side. If anyone recognises it then I'd like to know what game it's from, in case I want to make a stereo version.

A mono soundtrack despite the classic computer's stereo sound. And short weight too, running in at four minutes in comparison to the main side's nine minutes of speech.

Accompanied by 'tasteful' equipment shots, diskettes and original documentation pictures.

If you are wondering which amiga game the music is from, it's from "Shufflepuck Café" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pUmfxM9h54
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming 'WOO HOO what a ride'
