A bunch of more recent WIPs
Posted: 17/12/2010 - 22:12
Most of these aren't C64 related, but they are more recent than the other bunch. Some of them are finished tunes that I found relevant.
This isn't a sorted list by any means.
Tyhjan Pirtin Valssi.mp3
Remix of a really cool .it track made by finnish celtic-music afficionado 'warder'.
The World is Your Oyster.mp3
This one is actually about 9-10 months old now I think. Turned out alright I think, but I don't have that piano-VST anymore, so I can't finish it.
Romulus 3.mp3
Based on a track from the NFS II and III soundtracks. Nice breakbeat-track by Rom di Prisco.
Nostalgia.mp3
An original track. Tried to do it very 80's.
A Child is Dead.mp3
A remix of a tune made by Genetic Gemini
Touch My Afro.mp3
This is a double remix of Mark Ronson's "Bang Bang Bang" and a tune called "Kom ska du kjeinn på afron minnj". The lyrics are in trøalecme dialect as I speak in.
Untouched.mp3
A joint venture of me and gibs. Much like our remix of "Sweet", I handle the synths and mixing and gibs handles the guitars. The original track is a Vangelis-tune, but this version borrows some elements from Jogeir's .xm-remix of the tune.
Havregryn.mp3 / Havregryn (redone).mp3
Two version of the same composition, which was done by myself. The one on the right is the latest one. The latter one features vocals by Slaygon (I never bothered to fix the off timing in it).
Flip Flop.mp3
Just a little tune I made. Original composition. I got the idea to try to whistle something, and I included the first take in the tune; complete with false notes.
Relax.mp3 (finished tune)
This one is actually from 2009. Original composition. The guys at nectarine radio seemed to like it.
Trallala.mp3 (finished)
Another original finished tune. Very happy with this one, as I tend to struggle with finding a lead-composition for my original tunes.
Stereo Love (steady state mix).mp3 (finished)
A slowed-down remix of Stereo Love. Originally by Edward Maya.
Drive.mp3
Slaygon singing about his love for the Commodore 64.
Vangelisy.mp3
Half original, half remix of a Vangelis tune. I think it has a nice sound to it, but I'm not sure what more to add.
Crystal Rain.mp3
Originally by Jogeir. Very moody and melancholic track. Features my trusty fake guitar.
Love's Not For Me.mp3
Originally a composition by Graham Gouldman. He made it for a film called "Animalympics". He made the entire soundtrack, and it's a pretty sweet one. The vocals are by swedish group Helm, which consists of former members of Thermostatic (afaik). Used with permission, although I'm not entirely sure I am supposed to post this...
For Marie.mp3
Originally by Xerxes. Kepler (a fellow demoscene musician) made a really nice version of it, which lead me to take a crack at it. Wasn't quite happy with the outcome, so it has been lying in my WIP-folder ever since.
Eyes Without Face.mp3
Original by Billy Idol.
Spring Yearning.mp3
Based on an old norwegian composition. Can't remember who did it.
Happy-o-lowize.mp3
Based on a track by finnish demoscene-musician "Dizzy". Original is called "Happen-o-lowize".
Arpeggio 2010.mp3
Very recent track. Remix of a C64-tune. Near finished.
The World is Our Oyster.mp3 *fixed
Another version of that old FGTH-snippet. This time made to test out RealGuitar.
Picture of Her.mp3 (finished)
Originally by Xerxes. This one is finished.
Cheesepie.mp3
An original tune that I think turned out pretty cool. Intend to finish it some day.
