*URGENT*BAFTA Awards ceremony TONIGHT to feature SID remixes

Hi all,

Yeah, I only just found out it's tonight, but tonight's BAFTA awards in videogames will feature excerpts of SID remixes as background music and for walking to the stage and stuff.

"Programme that will be Streamed live on http://www.bafta.org, http://www.game.co.uk and uk.ign.com on the evening of 16th March, 2011 and will also be available by means of streaming only, on http://www.bafta.org website"

I only just got told which ones out of the loads they listened to they wanted to use, so apologies to remixers and performers (and especially Reyn) than I had to sign off on these this afternoon in a hurry. I thought they'd give me a couple of weeks so I could get to everyone individually.

Anyway, here's the remixes they're using:

So far I have heard two of Reyn's remixes, for a total of, say 10 seconds (the award show has started 15 minutes ago), but hey - recognition is recognition, regardless of its length! Congrats to all involved!

I hope somebody is recording this historic stream! I'm pretty sure this is the first time SID remixes have been featured on an award show on TV.

Hey, look at that, I've just seen Jon Hare introducing the nominees for "Audio"! Cool! (Appropriately enough the remix played when he was walking on stage: Parallax...)

Some Magic Johnson too a few mins ago... they're taking bits from all over the remixes so some of them aren't so recognisable, and they might be taking some of the music from the winning games.

Wow! That's. Just. Wow!

And that Last Ninja 3 remix was one of the tracks I never really came to peace with, because I didn't feel I got it massive enough. But hey. If it's good enough for BAFTA, I guess it's alright.
