did a search on the forum and seen this hasn't been mentioned here..so I started a thread to promote this forthcoming Documentary by Zach Weddington, tracing the history of the Amiga Computer, the people who worked there, brand new and exclusive interviews with some of the men and women behind the Amiga in the early days right up until Commodore closed its doors.

They were waiting for bounties (25000 Dollar) to finish the Movie. And guess what? They got the cash from the Amiga-Community `round the Globe. 80 Now I just can`t wait if this will EVER be released (or maybe just someone make himself a good Time with this Cash - lying on a Beach in Ibiza)

Amazing what the Amiga could do. Sometimes you need to be faced with videos like the Imagine short to remember just what a great little box it was.

I still use mine but they perform the lightest of light duties considering their power - realtime MIDI keyboarding, Instant Music, Music Mouse and serial networking to transfer my MIDIs to a PC.


But then the parameters have changed now computers are truly mind-bogglingly powerful. A bit less synthesis and a lot more use of full-length, real video footage and audio tracks for mixing and processing. The Amigas couldn't cope with that, barring the final machines which could handle 4 channel 24bit I/Os. (First truly affordable quality ones for computers if I'm not mistaken.)
