i'm searching for a c64-demo with sampled commercials.
one sample was from a pepsi-commercial and went like that:
"pepsi cola ... oh yeah my friend ...".

anybody knows this demo?

thanx in advance!

I don't know of the demo you mean but your post has reminded me of another demo with samples in for which I'm after the music.

I'm speaking of "Ducks" by TAT - you know the one "all the people on the left, wam bam boogie" etc etc. :) Apart from having the original demo on floppy (courtesy of the Kenz Binary Zone Emporium), I don't have it to listen to on my PC.

When Waz was in charge of the HVSC collection, he mentioned to me how difficult it would be to transfer a complicated sample-laden tune like "Ducks" onto the collection.

I'm going to put my request in for it to be included (unless plans are underway to do such a thing) as it would be difficult to do but not impossible given the amount of SID tunes available which have samples.

I remember it, but I have no idea what it was called. A mate of mine had it...

Paul, go here

http://www.manni.org/tat/index_main.html

and download AIR DANCE IV which has the Chicken McDigi's part in it.

Alternatively, send your e-mail address to andrewrfisher(at)yahoo.com and I will send you the "DUCKS" file itself...

(Oh, and the tune they digitised is WHAP BAM BOOGIE by Matt Bianco)

Thanks very much for that, Andrew. Interesting stuff.

I'm more keen on finding the audio track for Ducks (maybe the file you were referring to that you could send me?). At first glance, the TAT site doesn't seem to have the music from it as the AIR DANCE IV audio track isn't the sampled tune. Not sure what the actual file could be so I'll see what I can find on the site from the other audio there.

Paul,

I believe someone has ripped it (RSID format only though) so it may end up in HVSC within the next few updates. There's still a bit of a backlog to clear, apparently.

The demo's almost as hilarious as John Regis in the Kayaking on Superstars! <grin>

Paul, I can send you the demo as a separate PRG file so you can load it repeatedly...

The audio file, as Waz says, is not yet in the HVSC...

Thanks, Andrew. My e-mail address is grimsby.95@ntlworld.com.

Now I've just got to wait for the SID file to appear and I'll be a very happy Chappy :)
