Downloading them now - I'll return with my thoughts
Ok, so far I've listened to 1 minute of the great giana sisters and I love it, its my kind of tune, the background rhythm is excellent - the guitar is smoooooth, its one of those tracks I can see myself burning to cd to play really loudly in the car
this mix is just getting better and better as it goes on. Nice way to end it too
Now onto Last ninja - heres hoping one of my favourite sids hasnt been ruined. . . . . . . . . so far so good, nice starting build up, good beat, not too fast, yep this one is pleasant on my ears
Yeh the pace has picked up and its rocking my toes!!!!
Sonic - you have outdone yourself with these remixes - they are both fabulous. What next?? (hinting for an in-game terra cresta remix!!!)
:):):)

Hey!
That was really quick. WOW!
Greatly appreciated, dude.
Thankyou for the kind words.
I try to better my skills more and more over time, both in complexity and mixage. I think it's starting to pay off. I usually have aproblem with craming too much into a remix, making it blurry and noisy. This time I think it sounded quite well. The LN-remix is my best mixed/mastered one so far. The Giana remix has a lesser sharpness, but I still think it's cool.
Cheers, and salute!

Fabulous Wilderness mix, Sonic! Very nice indeed.
Love the Giana mix. Nice guitar work, superb dance track altogether.
Great stuff.

well done, sonic...
Giana Sisters:
cool bassline, good breaks, it's got a dark mood...hmm, the guitar sounds
a bit to loud,(is it slayer?) and the snare is to loud too... for my ears....
overall a great remix...
Last Ninja:
a typically sonic sound remix.....
i like those sequencer basslines....
...but i got a little last ninja 'overkill'....
my result: giana is my favorite....
keep'em coming...
cheers

Hey thanks all of you!!!!!
I aim to please.
I agree the guitar in Giana are a bit loud, but hey! Look at the subtitle of the tune!!!
*Maybe* the midrange could've been cut a teeny-weeny bit....maybe.
Yeah, Last Ninja - remixes are a bit overflooded, but when I got my hands on a new bassline VSTi, I just *had* to do it. =)
Cheers!

Well done!
Both tunes are nice and technical very impressive, but for me especially the giana remix hits my taste. have you tried some other kind of lead guitar?
in my oppion the guitar is somewhat to clean and "thin" (hope you know what i mean
).
last ninja isn't my kind of music,so i do not judge ( wich does not mean its bad,but even do not like most of originals from the game)
but nevetheless : giana sister rocks(!!!!) - really cool stuff
keep on doing this
regards
daniel

Thanx! That's a thing I'm eagerly trying to improve. The technical perfection thingiemabob stuff.

I will. Promise!
Odd, people seem to like the Giana remix better than the LN....... it's the other way around for me, but I guess that's because I think I did a better job workwise with LN.
Taste is like your rear end - divided.
Thanx 4 the feedback.
Cool dancy ninja

I downloaded both tracks and both are great. Everyone seems to think that the lead guitar in Giana sisters is weak? But for me it has just the right balance and has a sort of tangerine dream le Park sound going for it.
The last ninja has a steady upbeat build up until about a minute into it when it starts to show you that it kicks ass.
Sonic seems to be able to mix 80’s sounding SIDS and turn them into a modern dance track without loosing any of their character.
Keep up the good work Sonic. Now where did I put my headphones?

I really like your style, Sonic. You usually have that 80's Laserdance twist in your remixes which is so cool.
I enjoy your Last Ninja Wilderness remix from 2 mins when the beat and the bassline start to roll. The piano part is great (is it your own composition??)! Usually I don't like 303-lines but even those sound pretty good.
Good work.

Good work.
The piano at 03:07->03:34 is my very own composition, yes. =)
At 03:35->03:49 it is the main melody of the Wilderness-level, but with freestyle modifications (which I love to do).
Those 303-basslines rock. It is *not* the last time I've used such, to be sure. =)

I like kicking ass!!
I'm heavily influated by the synthsounds of the 80's, and that shines through in most of my tracks. I love it!!!
